The horses are relaxed. I’m absolutely delighted!!

We’ve received a lovely first-hand account of the HayTimer kit from Anjo in Someren-Eind. It’s great to read how the horses are adapting to their new feeding routine and how relaxed it makes them.
We now have two HayTimers in use. The HayTimer kits are easy to assemble. The instructions are very straightforward. At first, the horses had to get used to the clattering of the flaps, but they’re now well accustomed to it.
Spreading the hay out over the day works well: every 2.5 hours, the horses get 1.5 to 2 kg of hay, five times a day. We start with one portion of hay in the trough, followed by four portions from the HayTimer. Then we top it up again if necessary for the evening or night.
The pallet boxes catch it up nicely, so the hay stays clean. I’m absolutely delighted! The horses are relaxed. They’re walking about more instead of hanging around the slow feeder all day. Next weekend we’ll put up the other two HayTimers.
